Hello everyone! If this Valentine's Day you and your partner are still "stuck" on where to go for a romantic yet unique date, let me "share a little secret" about a spot that will surely make your lover "fall head over heels"! I recently "discovered" a super cute Korean dining spot that resembles the familiar scenes from the "Reply 1988" series!
I recently "visited" a restaurant called Ottugi in the My Dinh area. Just hearing the name sounds so "Korean," right? And honestly, it did not disappoint me. From the first step inside, I couldn't help but exclaim because the space here is adorable and full of Korean vibes. Everything gives off a warm, familiar feeling like stepping into a cozy little eatery in Seoul during the 80s and 90s, from the arrangement of tables and chairs to the small, lovely decor details.

What's unique about Ottugi is its à la carte menu, which is not a buffet like many other Korean restaurants. At first, I was a bit "hesitant," but the prices felt "totally reasonable." If you're going on a date, it's still "economical"!
A huge plus that I must praise Ottugi for is its super "generous" Pan Chan (side dishes). Just order a dish, and a "massive" tray of Pan Chan will be "served up" right away. Seeing the colorful spread of kimchi, chive sprouts, green onions, rib soup, steamed eggs, and soups made me feel like I was in a scene from a Korean drama! Not only is there a lot of Pan Chan, but the quality is also "top-notch"!
For main dishes, Ottugi mainly focuses on grilled pork, noodles, rice, and soups. I felt that with so many Pan Chan dishes, there was no need to "spread out" the order too much. Pick two types of "deliciously grilled" meat and a bowl of noodles or rice, and you're already "super full"!

This time, I "ested out" the grilled pork belly, and I must admit the meat here is fresh and tasty. Another "exciting" point is that the staff grills the meat right at your table. Watching the meat sizzle on the grill while taking in that "rresistible aroma" — what more could you want?

Another "highlight" at Ottugi is that Pan Chan is just eaten "lain." The staff even puts some of the Pan Chan directly on the grill to pair with the grilled meat. I saw kimchi and bean sprouts being "armed up" on the grill — they were hot, flavorful, and enhanced the taste of the meat. However, there's one dish not for those who are "crazy" about seafood — the grilled scallops. I felt like this dish might make the whole grill a bit fishy, so if you're" team no seafood," "say no" "to this one for sure!
My true love " at Ottugi is the legendary "raw egg dipping sauce." claim that dipping any meat or Pan Chan into this sauce is a "perfect match" and absolutely "delicious." The rich, creamy taste of the egg blended with the savory sauce and a hint of spiciness is just addictive.

Besides grilled meat, Ottugi has a cheese potato pancake that is a "must-try" for those with a sweet tooth. The pancake has the savory taste of potatoes and cheese combined with the sweetness of honey or malt syrup — just hearing it sounds irresistiblyy tempting".
As for the rrestaurant'sambiance, there's nothing to complain about — it's Korean to the core, inside and out. From the walls decorated with pictures to the small, charming table items, everything perfectly recreates the atmosphere of a typical Korean diner.
So what are you waiting for? This VValeValentine'sb your partner" and head to Ottugi in My Dinh for a romantic, cozy, and "authentically Korean" date. I'm sure this will be a memorable date experience! Wishing you all a happy and unforgettable Valentine's Day!
